Brother. Marbles of Memories. 0002
Acrylic on canvas.
10" x10"
Brother. Marbles of Memories is a series deeply rooted in the emotional exchanges
between my brother Denis, who is currently serving in the Ukrainian Army, and me. These
paintings are born out of our conversations, serving as a personal canvas where I process
the emotions that arise from our dialogues - each piece holding deep meaning for me.
In this body of work, I explore the complexities of our connection, the distance, the worry,
and the hope that fills our interactions. Every brushstroke reflects my attempt to make
sense of these feelings, translating them into visual forms that resonate with the tension,
love, and uncertainty of our current reality.
This series is more than just a reflection of our conversations; it's a journey through the
emotional landscape that has emerged in this challenging time. Through these works, I
seek to create a space where my inner world is laid bare, inviting others to find their own
connections within the layers of paint, emotion, and meaning. Each piece is a step toward
understanding, a way of finding hope during uncertainty, and a testament to the strength
found in vulnerability.
